Studio Sessions
Intimate in studio workshop at the MN Dye studio in Livingston Manor. Bring your own clothing and/or linens that you want to repurpose or transform with natural dyes. In this hands on workshop you will learn different techniques from immersion dyeing to eco printing. 2 hours, 2 garments, see dates/colors offered in link.

Tipsy Tie Dye workshops
2 day Immersive 10 am to 3 pm
Date TBD - Introduction to the world of Natural Dyes and Indigo. You will learn all about the botanical plants that are used for natural dyeing and create a natural sugar indigo vat. We will guide you through all of the various application processes from immersion dye & tying resist techniques to color shifting using assists. This workshop will also give give you the foundation of how to prepare your fabrics for dyeing through scouring and mordanting and how to maintain and discard of your vats.
This 2 day course will be educational and hands on, you will walk away with the new knowledge of how to bring natural dye practices into your work and have your own creations to take with you. We will provide materials to and ask that you bring 2 garments of your own to experiment on.
*Lunch will also be provided.
